DDCA probe panel chief Chetan Sanghi gets central deputation

NEW DELHI: Senior IAS officer Chetan Bhushan Sanghi , who had claimed to be under pressure for naming a "certain VIP" in the Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) probe panel report, has been appointed Joint Secretary in Women and Child Development Ministry. The Centre has also revoked an order debarring him from central deputation which was issued after he failed to join the WCD Ministry in 2014 following his appointment to the same post. The
Appointments Committee of Cabinet has approved appointment of Sanghi as Joint Secretary in the Ministry for five years, an order issued by Department of Personnel and Training said. The appointment is subject to the condition that the debarment order against him would be revoked only after he joins the post, it said. Sanghi, a 1988 batch IAS officer of Arunachal Pradesh-Goa-Mizoram and Union Territory (AGMUT) cadre, is presently on leave.
