International Space Station successfully completes 100,000th orbit of planet Earth!

The US space agency proudly announced the achievement of this feat on its website exclaiming that this is more than 2,643,342,240 miles traveled, which is also like 10 round trips to Mars, or nearly the distance to Neptune!
During its reign in orbit, the International Space Station, over 1,922 research
investigations have been performed and more than 1,200 scientific results publications have been produced as a result, according to NASA.
Till date, 222 different people have visited the space station. This includes the current crew that is working and living on orbit, which consists of Timothy Kopra, Tim Peake, Yuri Malenchenko of Expedition 45 and Expedition 46 and Jeff Williams, Oleg Skripochka and Alexey Ovchinin of Expedition 46 and Expedition 47.
